Scientific Activities:Primarily focussed on entomology, insect ecology and nature conservation.
Particular emphasis is placed on moth larvae associated with forest woody species - spruce (Picea), beech (Fagus), oak (Quercus), hornbeam (Carpinus), fir (Abies), larch (Larix), and willow (Salix), structure and diversity of insect assemblages, effects of natural and human induced environmental changes on insect populations and assemblages, and economic significance of forest insects.
The second field of interest is faunistics, distribution, and diversity of butterflies and moths, as well as threatened and indicator species for nature conservation purposes.
Publication Activity:More than 100 scientific and specialized articles in scientific journals, monographs and proceedings.
