Presentation of a new book
November 13, 2007 was the day when Dipl. Ing Miroslav Saniga, PhD. introduced his new book "Meditations with bears – Ecological reminiscences“. The book was published by the publishing house VEDA. The author is a scientist working at the Institute of Forest Ecology SAS, studying ecology of forest birds and mammals. The book is addressed to the wide public, and the subject matter about the bears is presented in form of short stories connected with the author’s experience obtained in his research in the West Carpathians. The presentation of the book took place in the author’s native village – Liptovské Revúce, situated in a deep mountain valley of the Veľká Fatra Mts, a region with a bear population. The event was attended by the local authorities, scientists and specialists from universities and research institutes, persons active in forest protection, forest managers, journalists, representatives of the VEDA publishing house, local residents and fun-readers of books written by Miroslav Saniga from the whole Slovakia.
