The Slovak Literary Fund awarded to Assoc. Prof. Jan Patočka, DrSc. “Prize for a Scientific Work in the category biological and medical sciences for the year 2005”. His monograph „Lepidoptera pupae, Central European species“ was published in the well-known Danish publishing house Apollo Books, Stenstrup. The monograph in two volumes is a result of lifelong work of J. Patočka, devoting the decades to the study of morphology and identification of Lepidoptera pupae. The co-author of the book is Assoc. Prof. Marek Turčáni, PhD.
